ZapTXT takes your privacy seriously.
Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.

  1. ZapTXT does not rent or sell your personal information to anyone. We share your information under the following circumstances:
    • We transfer information about you if ZapTXT is acquired by or merged with another company or if we choose or sell assets. In this event, ZapTXT will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
    • We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, or to protect the rights of ZapTXT, our employees, users or others.
    • We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law.
    • Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your personal information may be shared with third parties or used for a purpose incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected, and you will be able to prevent the sharing of this information by opting out.
  2. When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address and a unique password to register your account. We also ask for your Instant Messenger client user name and mobile phone number, both of which are optional.
  3. ZapTXT may set and access ZapTXT cookies on your computer to improve your experience with the ZapTXT application. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Cookies generally do not permit us to personally identify you. While we don't currently do so, if advertisements were to appear from ZapTXT, advertisements will be delivered to you by our advertising partners. Our advertising partners may download cookies to your computer. Doing this allows the advertising network to recognize your computer each time they send you an advertisement. In this way, they may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which advertisements are clicked. This information allows an advertising network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. We do not have access to or control of the cookies that may be placed by the third party advertisers.
  4. You must be 13 years and older to register to use the ZapTXT website. Therefore, ZapTXT does not specifically collect information about children.
  5. Aggregate Information: ZapTXT may track the total number of visitors, the number of visitors electing to receive ZapTxt Alerts via email, instant messenger or txt message, the number of visitors to specific pages of ZapTXT.com, IP addresses, search terms, tags used and the domain names of our users' Internet Service Providers, and we may analyze these data for trends and statistics in the aggregate, but such information will be maintained, used and disclosed in aggregate form only and it will not contain personally identifiable information not can it identify personal information. We may use such aggregate information to analyze trends, administer the application, track users' movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We may share this aggregate information with third parties, including for various reasons related to our business to assist them in targeting advertisements to appropriate audiences.

Conditions of Use

If you decide to use ZapTXT, your visit and any possible dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of California state law.
